JPMorgan Chase is proud to have called itself a member of the Brooklyn Chamber of Commerce for more than 50 years!
The leading global financial institution, with a history dating back more than 200 years, employs more than 6,000 people in Kings County representing all lines of business. This includes Business, Commercial, Corporate Investment and Private Banking, and Retail with 78 Chase branches and 423 ATMs.
Supporting Brooklyn’s small businesses is integral for how we do business. Chase employs more than 300 Brooklyn small business specialists to assist with its 100,000 clients and their business and personal banking needs. Last year we processed $1.5 million business transactions in local branches. Additionally, we are one of the main funders of the Brooklyn Navy Yard Small Business Kiosk, which helps local companies build their business base in a public setting.
Giving back to the communities we serve is key to the JPMorgan Chase mission. Over the last five years, the firm has invested $12 million in grants to help develop inclusive and thriving Brooklyn neighborhoods. Through our four pillars –Jobs & Skills, Small Business Development, Financial Health and Neighborhood Revitalization – we are helping non-profits strengthen a vibrant workforce, deliver financial coaching, provide technical assistance to small business owners and support a pipeline of affordable housing for low-income individuals.
Beyond our financial commitment, Brooklyn employees volunteered more than 7,500 hours of their time in 2018 to non-profits. Some of our partners include, Brooklyn Botanic Garden, Brooklyn Historical Society, and Gowanus Canal Conservancy.
