| October 07, 2008 7:30pm Marital Arts Hall of Fame inductee Carol "Kick Fever" Glasgow is now teaching Cardio Kickboxing in Brooklyn at Martial Arts USA. Cardio Kickboxing is a combination of aerobic, boxing and marital arts and is one of the most popular fitness trends in gyms in recent years. This intense, total body workout can improve strength, aerobic fitness, flexibility, coordination and balance. The American Council on Exercise (ACE), which evaluates exercise products and programs, notes that during a one-hour kickboxing workout, you can burn from 500-800 calories, up twice the calories you burn during a one-hour step-aerobics class.
London-born Ms. Glasgow is a second degree Black Belt in HapKiDo. Since immigrating to the U.S. in 1990, Ms. Glasgow has excelled in weight training, rock climbing, fencing, and roller blading and has spent over 11 years training and teaching martial arts, and over 6 years teaching kick boxing and self defense. Ms. Glasgow's brand of Cardio Kickboxing is "Cardio Kickboxing with a purpose." She believes everyone should have fun while losing weight.
