The Brooklyn Chamber of Commerce is pleased to announce the following staff appointments:

Finance & Administration: The Brooklyn Chamber of Commerce welcomed its new Chief Financial Officer Pablo Zangerle to its finance and administration department on Apr. 20.  In this newly created role, Pablo is charged with oversight and planning of the Chamber’s finances with the goal of providing the financial resources to enable the organization to grow and offer new and enhanced services to its Members.

“This is a very exciting time to work for the Brooklyn Chamber. The combination of the current economy and the Chamber’s new strategic vision presents an unprecedented opportunity to further develop the Chamber into the premier resource for business solutions and networking. I feel privileged to be part of this organization’s continued growth,” said Pablo.

Prior to joining the Chamber, Pablo was deputy director for revenue at the Finance Division of the New York City Council where he was responsible for revenue forecasting, budgeting, tax policy and economic development policy analysis for 18 years. Pablo was part of the initial finance team that implemented the Council’s new budgetary powers following the revision of the City Charter in 1989. Pablo also previously worked as a senior analyst at the Mayor’s Office of Economic Development.

Born in Madrid, Spain and raised in Buffalo, New York, Pablo moved to Park Slope, Brooklyn where he lived for 14 years after receiving his Master’s in Economics at SUNY Binghamton.
