What does your business do? When and Why did you join the Brooklyn Chamber of Commerce?
Ambush Alarm is a security alarm company located in Homecrest. We specialize in engineering, designing, selling, leasing and installing burglar, fire, telephone, intercom, camera surveillance, access control and sound systems, as well as low-voltage systems that include sound, telephone, intercom, access control and security and alarm systems for both residential and commercial clients. While our primary service area is Tri-state, we also have an installation network coast-to-coast. Some of our largest accounts are Fox 5, Clear Channel Entertainment, Snapple and the Board of Elections in Brooklyn. We are the exclusive alarm company for Fillmore Real Estate, a Chamber Member, and we offer our real estate clients discounts and free alarm installations for their customers.
Another Member referred us to the Brooklyn Chamber. We joined in 1999 because we were looking to belong to a solid organization that would provide us with good networking opportunities.

How has your Brooklyn Chamber membership assisted your business?
Through our Chamber relationship, we have gained clients including the Brooklyn Navy Yard, Concord Family Services, Brooklyn YMCA on Bedford Ave., Fifth Avenue Committee and Lundy’s Bros. Restaurant. We even alarmed the Chamber’s new office at 25 Elm Place. Conversely, we also have found many of our business services through Chamber Member businesses. Jim Cosares of JimCo Associates provides our health insurance, Cortel Business Solutions is our telecommunications vendor and Howard Weber is our attorney. The Business After Hours networking events have proven to be an important part of our business strategy.
