What does your business do? When and Why did you join the Brooklyn Chamber?
Steven Denes is senior vice president and chief marketing officer for Atlantis Health Plan, the only physician-owned and operated plan in New York City: “Our company was founded in 1995 by 12 New York physicians and we began enrolling members in 2000. We provide sensible health care at a sensible price – with no co-pay – at each of our five Atlantis Medical Group (AMG) offices, one in each borough with plans for five more by the end of 2007.
Atlantis joined the Chamber in 2005 to focus our efforts in Brooklyn, where we have the highest concentration of physicians in our network – over 28,000 locations.”

“Our sponsorship of the Chamber’s newspaper, Brooklyn’s Progress, and our sponsorship of and participation at Chamber networking events and trade shows help Atlantis to get its message out to Brooklyn. We have gained over 50 new groups since becoming Brooklyn Chamber Members. We have developed a productive and friendly relationship with the entire Chamber family and are very proud to partner with the Brooklyn Chamber of Commerce. Garey McKinnon, Atlantis’ liaison to the Chamber, is known in Brooklyn almost as well as Marty Markowitz!”
