Through its partnership with NYC Business Solutions, the Brooklyn Chamber of Commerce has expanded its services to include Human Resources assistance for small businesses. The Chamber now offers a comprehensive range of services to help businesses with all of its hiring, training and personnel needs including:

Training and Staff Development

  • Access the most recent information about staff training and development resources available to employers.
  • Assistance with applying for training grants, developing a comprehensive training plan, identifying candidates for training and developing your current workforce.
  • The Chamber can connect you to other businesses that offer services surrounding Human Resources and training related services.

Other Areas of Human Resources Assistance

  • Developing a personnel manual.
  • Access labor market information for the borough.
  • Information on laws affecting hiring, help with legal issues and referrals to labor attorneys.

Hiring and Workforce Incentives

Good Help is the Chamber’s FREE staffing service designed to meet all of the hiring needs of your business. Good Help can assist your business in pre-screening, testing, and hiring qualified candidates. In addition, Good Help can assist with writing job descriptions, establishing wage scales and accessing tax credits associated with hiring from special populations. Good Help can find you find interns, and can help you access special underutilized labor pools.
