Brooklyn Goes Global (BGG) is the Brooklyn Chamber of Commerce’s marketing program for Brooklyn manufacturers competing in a crowded and challenging marketplace.  BGG’s tri-level strategy helps to identify, evaluate and connect Brooklyn manufacturers and export/import companies with domestic and international buyers through promotion and marketing, education and training, and technical assistance.

Promotion and Marketing
Brooklyn Goes Global produces and participates in a number of events throughout the year to help Brooklyn manufacturers reach beyond Brooklyn’s borders to connect to the global marketplace.

• Brooklyn Goes Global Pavilion at Trade Shows: Brooklyn manufacturers who participate in national and international trade shows under the highly visible BGG Pavilion receive – at a discounted rate – access to tens of thousands of buyers, importers and exporters.
• BGG Buyers Mission Events: BGG invites potential buyers from other countries who are visiting the U.S. to local venues where BGG clients can market their goods and services in informal settings.
• BGG Trade Mission Events: BGG provides opportunities for manufacturers to expose their products, goods and services through partnerships with international trade associations, government agencies and nonprofits.

Education and Training
Brooklyn Goes Global produces a series of seminars and workshops designed to increase sales, reduce costs and enable manufacturers to qualify to meet the rigorous standards of major retailers.  Speakers provide specific, practical and technical advice to help manufacturers prepare their products for the shelves of choice retailers.

• BGG Success, Savings & Strategies: Brooklyn manufacturing business owners share their strategies for success during this annual panel discussion and networking event.
• BGG Seminars/Workshops: Attendees receive advice and information about various topics, including exporting/importing strategies, effective sales and marketing methods, product and company image, and more.
• BGG Food Manufacturers Only (FMO): Targeted edumarketing program for Brooklyn's food and beverage manufacturers and processors that includes networking seminars, workshops and trade show promotion.

Technical Assistance
Brooklyn Goes Global prepares manufacturers to succeed through market research, buyer outreach, lead generation and referrals.  BGG clients receive one-on-one consultative services to help them meet government regulations and buyers’ standards for various technical issues, including facility and equipment, product evaluation, shipping requirements, and more.
