Prospect Cleaning Service, Inc. Awarded Housekeeping Contract at Kings Theatre
Earlier this year, the newly renovated Kings Theatre contacted the Chamber for assistance in finding a vendor for their housekeeping RFP. Through our Brooklyn Connects program, which delivers targeted procurement assistance for members, the Chamber distributed a targeted notice of the procurement opportunity to its members. We were delighted to know that one of our Brooklyn Connects members, Prospect Cleaning Service, Inc. was awarded the housekeeping contract at Kings Theatre.
Prospect Cleaning Service, Inc. has been in business for four years and currently employs 20 local residents. They’ve been a member of the Brooklyn Chamber of Commerce since June 2014.
“I am truly proud to be a part of the Brooklyn Chamber of Commerce as it provides avenues for businesses like mine to succeed through networking and all the events it hosts in honor of us – its members. This venture is one which I must say carries no regret, except for not becoming a member much sooner. I do hope all other small businesses within Brooklyn will consider joining the Chamber and be part of an organization that works for its members regardless of size. Most importantly, they put aside bureaucracy and discrimination hence leveling the playing field for business to participate and succeed,” Ingrid Murray, President of Prospect Cleaning Service.
Brooklyn Connects is the Brooklyn Chamber of Commerce’s comprehensive procurement assistance program for Brooklyn-based vendors. The focus of the program is to expand business opportunities for vendors, especially minority and woman-owned firms, by providing streamlined information about public contracting and purchasing opportunities while fostering business-to-business exchange and partnerships in the private sector.
